501	[MESNEY Family.FTW] The date of the marriage in LDS of 1873 seems to be wrong and should be about 1857 as the eldest son was called Peter Serane Mesney born 1858 and therefore very likely to be the son of MargaretSerane Barbenson and the youngest child was a daughter and called after herself Margaret Barbenson Mesney. This suggests that all the named children are of Philipe and Margaret. there is a question mark in the Alderney family history papers about the first marriage to '?Anne Durey'. They attribute Lawrence as a male , it should be Laurence which is a female, and his wife as Jacques, shich is clearly male, and the child as Michel Mesney: but this is the only person to whom this child could belong and so I have included them here. The only Pierre that would fit as her father would be Pierre Mesney 1653-1737. It may be that he had been married before especially as he was 28 when he married Marguerite Gaudion-I.
